MOZAMBIQUE HORSE SAFARI WORKSHOP, VILANCULOS, MOZAMBIQUE

On one of our horseback treks with Mozambique Horse Safari, we made an impromptu workshop to teach leatherwork and sewing techniques of saddle making. We were impressed with the workshop they had created for themselves, crafting saddle trees and constructing their own saddles. We worked with them in refining techniques for better construction and durability. What a dream workshop to be outside in nature! – October 2022

We thank Pat and Mandy Retzlaff for their hospitality and giving us one of the most memorable horse riding experiences, Ben for his keen interest and quick learning skills, and Lina for her pictures and videos!

Alfred Stadler's designs exemplify the work of an unapologetic perfectionist. His are gifts of a master rather than products churned out by the fast fashion machine. To watch Alfred work is to watch art and craft come together as one. - Dom Gervasi, Made in Brooklyn Tours
