LONG ISLAND HOME, EAST SETAUKET, NEW YORK

SECTIONAL SOFA REDESIGN / NEW OTTOMAN / NEW FABRIC & UPHOLSTERY

NEW MODERN SOFA WITH SOFT CUSHION COMFORT
We took the sofa apart and rebuilt it on the existing wooden frame. The original cushions had lack of shape and inside was a pile of fluff. We maintained the ‘soft’ cushion comfort by inserting soft foam cushions to give the sofa shape. We reinforced the underside webbing to provide durable seating support. The clients wanted this sofa to have the option to sleep guests so an ottoman was designed to make the sofa into a ‘bed.’

UPHOLSTERY AND FABRIC
We consulted with the client on fabrics that fit their needs and to their home’s color scheme. The sofa is in the family room and is heavily used to watch movies and hang out with their dog, Barlow. A plush moiré dark blue fabric was chosen. A handsome fit to the room and to their antique carpet and one that can hide any stray dog hairs.
